Up to $15,000 in conditional matching support.

Ontario's Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan (DMAP) helps qualifying SMEs develop a tailored modernization roadmap with an approved Digital Adoption Consultant.

DMAP can assess existing systems, software and processes; identify suitable AI agents and automation opportunities; and help prioritize future digital investments. Funding is for approved planning costs, not unrestricted technology purchases.

Typical applicants: Ontario-based, incorporated, privately owned and revenue-generating for-profit businesses with 1–499 employees, subject to OCI's full rules and any current sector restrictions. OCI uses a first-come, first-served model while funds last.

DMAP revenue eligibility

Does DMAP have a minimum revenue requirement?

2026 participating program advisers report a $750,000 minimum annual revenue screening threshold for DMAP applicants. Some specify this must have been reached in one of the previous three tax years. The public OCI DMAP overview lists Ontario for-profit SMEs with 1–499 employees but does not separately publish a numeric DMAP revenue threshold, so the current official eligibility rules must be confirmed directly with an OCI Digital Adoption Advisor before applying.

The $750,000 threshold also appears separately on OCI's current Technology Demonstration Program (TDP) overview. DMAP and TDP are different applications: meeting a revenue screen does not guarantee either award. A qualifying business may also need to meet OCI's business model, operating history, incorporation and sector rules.

Separate program / TDP

Potential $50,000 implementation support — currently closed.

Ontario's separate Technology Demonstration Program (TDP) may support eligible implementation projects following an approved DMAP, but OCI currently lists TDP as closed to applications. There is no confirmed reopening or guaranteed follow-on funding.

OCI publicly specifies at least $750,000 annual revenue in one of the previous three tax years for this separate TDP stream. Some 2026 DMAP adviser guidance also describes a $750,000 DMAP revenue screen; confirm the current DMAP criterion with OCI. DMAP completion is a prerequisite for pursuing TDP, not automatic approval.

Questions

What should you know?

Is $750,000 annual revenue required for DMAP?

Several 2026 participating program advisers state that DMAP applicants should have at least $750,000 in annual revenue. OCI's public DMAP overview does not explicitly list a numeric minimum, even though OCI lists a $750,000 requirement for the separate TDP. Contact OCI to confirm the current DMAP revenue and sector eligibility rules before you apply.

Does completing DMAP guarantee the future $50K?

No. TDP is separate, currently closed and subject to its own approval and eligibility requirements.

Is Ampgent an approved Digital Adoption Consultant?

Ampgent does not claim DAC approval; it can discuss connections to approved consultants.

Can we apply for both DMAP and retail funding?

No. OCI says applicants may apply to DMAP or the Retail Modernization Project Grant, not both.
